A Memorable Conversation with a Stranger
Speaking Part 2
Question
Describe an interesting conversation you had with someone you did not know before. You should say where you were and what you talked about. Explain why the conversation was memorable for you.
Model Answer
Last summer I sat next to an older woman on a train journey that lasted about three hours. She worked as a nurse for many years and told me stories about night shifts and kind patients. We talked about our families and she gave me simple career advice. I remember it because I usually stay quiet on trains, but that day I felt surprisingly relaxed.
