The bar chart below compares food waste from five sectors in one country in the year shown. The amounts are measured in thousand tonnes. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Model Answer
The chart compares food waste from five sectors, and the unit is thousand tonnes. Household waste was the largest at 550 thousand tonnes. Agriculture produced 420 thousand tonnes and manufacturing produced 310 thousand tonnes. Hospitality was 240 thousand tonnes and retail was the smallest at 180 thousand tonnes. , households produced far more than retail.
