Fast Fashion and the Environment
Writing Task 2
Question
Cheap clothing brands produce new styles very quickly, which many consumers enjoy. However, this fast fashion model is criticised for pollution and poor working conditions. To what extent do you agree that governments should regulate the fashion industry more strictly?
Model Answer
makes clothes affordable for students and families on a budget. But factories sometimes pollute rivers and workers may be underpaid. Governments could set rules about wages and water treatment. stricter regulation is needed because the problems are serious and companies will not fix them alone.
